Verify the design inputs
Confirm the tile product, roof slope, structural loading, local wind design and required approvals. Do not substitute details from a different profile or region without the appropriate review.
Prepare the roof assembly
The deck, water-control layers, flashings and tile attachment should be coordinated before covering the roof. Penetrations and roof-to-wall junctions need planned details, not last-minute patches.
Plan the visible work
Review the layout, blend, cuts, ridges, hips and edge treatments. Ask how tiles will be distributed across the roof and how transitions will be handled. Confirm product delivery and accessory quantities before installation starts.
Keep the project records
Retain the product identification, installation instructions, approvals, photographs and warranties. Ask for a final walkthrough and a record of spare tile stock for future repairs.
